Certificate in Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID)
1. Preamble
The CBID program aims to develop a cadre of grassroots-level rehabilitation workers who can promote and implement inclusive development for persons with disabilities (PwDs) in their communities. It focuses on enabling communities to take responsibility for the inclusion and participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of life.

3. Objectives of the Course
The course intends to train individuals to:
a. Identify and assess persons with disabilities in the community
b. Facilitate access to rehabilitation, education, livelihood, and social inclusion
c. Support rights-based advocacy for persons with disabilities
d. Mobilize community resources to promote inclusive development
e. Coordinate with government and non-government stakeholders for service delivery
f. Promote awareness about disability, accessibility, and inclusion
4. Duration of the Course

Total Duration: 6 months

Structure: Combination of classroom sessions, fieldwork, and practical training
5. Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification: 10th Standard (Matriculation) pass

Desirable: Candidates from local communities, especially those working with NGOs, CBOs, or Panchayati Raj Institutions

7. Certification
Upon successful completion, candidates are awarded the Certificate in Community Based Inclusive Development, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
