A day long program was organised on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day on 9th September, 2024 at CRCSRE, Guwahati.
The program started with a Free Physiotherapy Camp, wherein a large number of patients turned up for free physiotherapy consultation/treatment. The program was then continued with a seminar on ‘Low back pain and the role of Physiotherapy in its management and prevention’, with two resource persons – Dr. Abhijit Dutta, Professor & Dean, Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Assam down town University, Guwahati and Dr.Abhijit Kalita (PT), Associate Dean & Assistant Professor, Faculty of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, Assam down town University, Guwahati; the guest speakers delivered their lecture on the topics – ‘Low back pain and the role of Physiotherapists in it’s management’ & ‘Importance of Ergonomics’ respectively. The seminar was started with an inaugural program of lamp lighting and welcome address by the Coordinator – Dr. Mantu Paul (PT), Lecturer, Physiotherapy, CRCSRE, Guwahati. Students, faculty members and professionals from various institutes participated along with the students, internees and staff of CRCSRE, Guwahati. The program continued with a cultural event where the patients of CRCSRE, Guwahati accompanied by their parents performed dance, song and poetry and each participant was later provided with a present as a form of token of love.
